The Sporting 94 Team won their Round of 16 game with a 3-1 win over the Stanislaw Earthquakes in Turlock today on a wet soggy field. The team face the Sagebrush Team from Reno, Nevada at 3pm tomorrow back in Turlock.

Sporting Breeze Through 1st Round of NorCal State Cup
The Santa Clara Sporting ’94s finished the first three preliminary seeding games of the 2010 NorCal Premier State Cup with three solid victories. The team beat the Hayward Arsenals 8-1 today, and defeated the Alliance Corsarios 3-2, and the Mustang Spartans 10-0 last month. The first three games in the NorCal State Cup are used to seed teams for the 2010-11 State Cup Tournament. The ’94s won the State Cup Championship last May against the Mustang Celtics.

Two Solid Wins to Kick-off CCSL & NorCal State Cup
The Sporting ’94 Team launched the defense of their NorCal State Cup Championship title last Friday night with a crushing 10-0 defeat over the Mustang Spartans in Danville. Six players combined to score the 10 goals as Sporting showcased their technical skills on the field.
On Saturday afternoon, the team won a highly anticipated rematch of the CYSA State Cup Championship with a convincing 3-0 win over the PAC Tigres team. PAC lost some firepower with the departure of some key players, but it was still a well played game between both teams.
