The Santa Clara Sporting 94 Boys Team will play in the State Cup Championship this Sunday at 10am against local rivals PAC Tigres at Barthlomew Sports Park in Elk Grove near Sacramento. The game will be played on Field #1. Address is 10150 Franklin High Road, Elk Grove, CA 95757

The Sporting 94 team won a very tight game with a 2-1 score over the Central Valley Dynamos in 90 degree heat at Cherry Island today out in Sacramento. The team plays in a semi-final match against the San Francisco Gims Team at 10:30am tomorrow on Field 7.

The Sporting 94 team return to Cherry Island to play in their State Cup QuarterFinal game this Saturday at 12:30pm on Field #4. A win will send the team to the Semi-final round on Sunday at 10:30am on Field #7.

The Sporting 94 boys won their bracket this weekend in the first round of the State Cup Tournament with two wins and a tie on some very soggy fields at Cherry Island. The team dominated play in every game and finished the weekend with a 0-0 tie against the Alum Rock Toritos, a 6-0 defeat over Oakdale United, and a 2-0 win over PAC Brasil. The team will compete against the Central Valley Dynamo Team on Saturday, April 21st at 12:30pm. If they win on Saturday, they play a Semi-final game at 10:30am; both games held at Cherry Island Soccer Complex in Sacramento.

TopDrawerSoccer.com ranked our team #2 in Northern California/Hawaii after a succesful 2nd place finish in the Far West Regional League last Fall.
The team is waiting to start the State Cup Tournament this weekend in Sacramento. We got rained-out two weeks ago and could be delayed another week if the Cherry Island soccer fields get drenched again today and Saturday.
