Team practices start on February 21st and run Tuesday/Thursday from 6:45pm-8:45pm at the Santa Clara Youth Soccer Park.

Sporting Team on 2-week Break
The Santa Clara Sporting 94 Team is on a two week break and will resume practice on Tuesday, May 10th at the Santa Clara Youth Soccer Park from 6pm-8pm every Tuesday and Thursday. The team will have a two week open tryout from May 10th-26th. Any players interested in trying-out should have played on a high-level Class 1 team.

Drillin’ it with the U18s at Practice
We had a combined practice with the older Santa Clara Sporting U18 boys team last week and ran a 3 vs 3 drill.

Ralf Awarded 2010 CYSA State Coach & District II Coach of the Year
Today was a great day as Ralf was recognized for his 40 years of dedication and passion for coaching soccer. He was awarded the 2010 CYSA District II Coach of the Year award, and the 2010 CYSA State Coach of the Year award! We are so happy for him.

Bruno Andres Training in Spain
Santa Clara Sporting forward Bruno Andres is studying abroad this semester and training at the Tecno Futbol Soccer Academy in Barcelona, Spain. Bruno first caught the eye of the Tecno Academy Coaches last July while he was training in Spain while on vacation with his family. He was invited back to train with the academy and attend school this Fall, and is now enjoying time studying abroad while playing soccer.
During the first couple of week he had a hard time adapting to almost everything. The way the team plays is quite different, they train twice a day and have games every weekend; shares a room with five other guys, and they only have one afternoon off a week!
Now he says he “got the game” and started to play better he feels like he is getting in good shape and has gotten used to the regimented style. The soccer league starts on October 1st, so they are playing scrimmage games during the month of September. He will return in December.
